The
objective of the project is to purchase four black and yellow tempos
and drive them from Kathmandu to Worcester, whereupon they will
be exchanged for economic and environmentally friendly prototypes
to be driven back to Kathmandu where the technology can be perpetuated
by Nepalis.
The Tempo is a very common method of getting around,
particularly in urban areas of the Third World. This machine is
not indigenous to Nepal alone but is common throughout the Indian
sub-continent and South East Asia.
