With ever increasing demands for higher quality and corrosion resistance, Zincalloy 2000 offers the perfect answer.
Under salt spray testing, components in this new zinc-nickel finish achieve up to 1000 hours before signs of base metal corrosion - over ten times better than conventionally zinc plated deposits.
Only an 8µm deposit is required to achieve high levels of protection so it is possible to work to even tighter tolerances on assemblies and threaded parts.
Black, Yellow and Trivalent passivates are available, all giving equally impressive corrosion resistance.

The passivation of ordinary zinc plating is dehydrated
by temperatures over 60ºC. This means that white
zinc corrosion will set in quickly after being subjected to high temperatures.
Zincalloy 2000 is unaffected by temperature or humidity. This makes it an ideal coating for under-bonnet and other hot environments. Many automobile manufacturers are already specifying this finish for fuel and ignition parts as well as fasteners. It is also proving a good alternative to the highly toxic cadmium finish.

Although the alloy content is only 5 - 10% nickel the surface hardness is more than doubled. A zinc coating is in the region of 80 - 150HV whereas Zincalloy 2000 is between 200 - 250HV improving wear resistance as well as corrosion protection.

Zincalloy 2000 complies with all major manufacturers requirements for zinc-nickel alloy plating including:
Jaguar JMS 10.22.09
V.W./Audi TL244
Honda D2003-94
General Motors GME00252
