CromeAlloy allows small components and fasteners to be electroplated in bulk. Traditionally to achieve a chrome plated finish it has been necessary to either individually wire or jig plate. CromeAlloy can be barrel plated which eliminates the need for individual handling and so reduces the finishing costs considerably, while still achieving a mirror-like finish.

The composition of the metals in CromeAlloy makes it a hard and abrasive resistant coating. Independent tests have shown CromeAlloy to be about 70% the hardness of chromium. And more significantly CromeAlloy achieves higher levels of corrosion resistance when tested in a salt spray cabinet. Like conventional chrome plating CromeAlloy is deposited to a thickness of less than one micron over a bright nickel undercoat of three to five microns.

A component electroplated in CromeAlloy looks just like chrome ~ the same bright white/blue finish which will not tarnish with time. And of coarse there are no jig or wire marks to be seen. But unlike chrome plating, CromeAlloy will reach into holes and crevices giving a more complete and professional looking coating on small complex parts.
Whether for cosmetic purposes on household items and giftware or a functional decorative finish on an engineered assembly, CromeAlloy offers the unique combination of a high quality finish at a bulk processed price.

A further benefit of CromeAlloy is that it is not skin allergy sensitising. This makes it ideal for components which are in contact with the skin such as buckles, clips, fasteners and badges.
