So what is all this about?
Well, for a year or so now a few of us have been
utilising MSN Instant Messenger. It is a small application
that runs in your system tray of your computer.
You need to sign into the service either using your
existing email address or using a hotmail account
- you can set one of these up for free in about
a minute and a half.
Once you have the software downloaded and you are
signed in you can add a list of contacts to your
address book. When any of your contacts are online
you will be able to chat to them in real time (as
opposed to old fashioned email).
You can chat in a group with up to five people
at once and send each other files.
If you have a sound card and microphone you can
have voice conversations and even video conference
using web cams.

If you want any further help the please contact
Dan Everton (AIM Internet) - 0121 6988519 or email
dan@aim-internet.com
Once you have installed it on your machine you
can add the following contacts to your list.
AIM Internet:
Mike Raybone = mikeraybone@hotmail.com
Dan Everton = aiminternet@hotmail.com
We will update this list when more members sign
up to the free service.
Of course you can add your colleagues, friends
and family to the list too.
